The Democratic Party has proven that it is either incapable — or unwilling — to be the voice of the voiceless in the United States today. Organized labor cannot resist Trump as an appendage of a political party. It must find its own voice. But how do we find our voice? Many in the labor movement support laudable goals: we must build power in all directions and challenge every step of the Trump agenda.
