President Obama Calls for Stronger Unions

Jan. 21, 2015 | WORKERS’ RIGHTS | President Obama used his State of the Union address Tuesday night to promote laws that would strengthen labor unions. While the National Labor Relations Board continues to issue decisions that greatly benefit unions, opponents have pushed on the federal and local level to challenge union power. “We still need laws that strengthen rather than weaken unions, and give American workers a voice,” the president said.
